
Below is a recap of our main 2025 events and activities. We had a very busy year!

La Chandeleur, a great excuse to eat crêpes, was a very joyful gathering at the Gallais’ on Saturday 1st February 2025. A pleasing number of native French speakers attended, as well as some friends from the committee and conversation groups.

Le Festival des films français ! The CQ French Film festival was held on May 16-18 at The Walter Reid Centre and The Yeppoon Cinemas and was very well attended.

Our third French singing workshop was held at the Yeppoon Community Centre on Sunday 15 June. It was expertly led by the very talented Lorraine Manifold.

Bastille Day Lunch with friends! We celebrated France's National Day with a French style charcuterie lunch at Athelstane Bowls Club on Sunday 13thJuly.

Our team of volunteer crepe chefs were in full force at Taste of The World, a community event organised by The Rockhampton City Council on the riverbank on Saturday 23rd August! Day’s outcome: 380 crêpes, 26 litres of batter, a mountain of strawberries and kilos of Nutella.

Le Bon Weekend was held at Byfield Fern’s Hideaway Resort on October 17-19 ! Our weekend of French adventure in a tropical paradise went so well, we decided that from this day forward, it will be called Le Très Bon Weekend! - Le Very Good Weekend!

This was the last event in a very busy year! Our Christmas Lunch was held at The Keppel Bay Sailing Club. Joyeux Noël à tous!
