About the Alliance Française Central Queensland

Bringing France to Central Queensland !

What we do

We are an independent, apolitical and not-for-profit community group servicing the Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast region.

Our aim is to promote and share our love of the French culture and language within the local community.

We offer French classes at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.

We also promote the French culture with cultural events and activities for our members and the Central Queensland community.

Our team

The Alliance’s team is made up of committee executives and members who are elected annually at our AGM. We are all volunteers!

The very first Alliance Francaise was created in 1884 in Paris by a committee including personalities like Jules Ferry, Louis Pasteur and Jules Verne.

Each of the 30 Alliances Françaises in Australia are managed locally as independent, not-for-profit organisations, within the laws and regulations of the country and without political or religious discrimination.
